Loorig Global was established with a purpose far deeper than profit. Our mission is rooted in the lived experiences of our founders and the ongoing struggles of thousands of cassava farmers across Ghana. These farmers, many of whom work with little to no financial security, regularly face the heartbreaking reality of watching their hard-earned produce spoil due to limited access to buyers, markets, and storage. This cycle not only crushes their spirits but also perpetuates poverty in communities that hold immense agricultural potential.

But the challenge goes beyond crops.

In many rural areas, young people—disillusioned by unemployment and lack of opportunity—are being driven into dangerous paths, including petty crime and illegal mining. We believe that job creation is the antidote to this continuous cycle of despair.

By building an inclusive value chain around cassava, and other crops in the long run, we are creating sustainable jobs, empowering farmers with fair prices, and equipping the youth with real alternatives to a better future. Every ton of starch we export is a ton of hope—hope for a better life, a stable income, and a future free from exploitation.
